An "encyclopedia" of WWII German Weapons

After reading several books written by Joseph Farrell, I became interested in the various technologies developed by Germans during WWII. The one that really caught my attention was the story of the "Wunderwaffe." This book was cited within one of Farrell's own writings, so I decided to purchase it and read the story myself. When I received this book, I realized this book was a lot more in depth and well researched that I previously conceived. I was expecting a short book written by some unknown, who heard it from an anonymous individual, who revealed information in vague riddles. This book was the exact opposite. "The Truth About The Wunderwaffe" is the most researched book I have ever read on advanced WWII weaponry.
The book is split up into three large parts. Part 1 is titled "Weapons of a Technological Turning-Point." Here, Witkowkski spends a great deal of time discussing the "V" series rockets, new jet bomber planes, and gives an overview of new, conventional weapon concepts. He discusses potential death rays, sound cannons, and all sorts of weapons that could be used for blitzkrieg.
The second part of this book is titled "The Weapons, Which Could Change The Course of War". In this section, the author discusses the numerous guided weapons the Nazis were developing. Near the end of this part, he discusses the new types of biological and chemical weapons the Nazis were manufacturing and experimenting with. Finally, the third part of this book is titled "Kriegsentscheidend." This is the epic conclusion that I was looking for. The author examines, in detail, what the true wunderwaffe. He discusses the Nazi "Bell" and the amazing accounts of its effects. To wrap everything up, Witkowski includes a hypothetical plan that Hitler was going to use to win the second World War.
After reading this book, I was truly amazed at the kind of work that a serious researcher can produce. Witkowski leads the reader on a journey through the secret weapons research department of Nazi Germany. For every claim he makes, he includes a plethora of photos, quotes, and copies of declassified documents from various nations. There is no point in disputing his claims, as everything is so well researched and presented. I recommend buying this book for anyone that is interested in Nazi weaponry whether that is the V-rockets, tanks, submarines, or death rays. You do not have to read this book chronologically because Witkowski will walk you through each chapter separately. In the end, I highly recommend this book. It will have you turning pages and wanting more as you progress through the chapters. Igor Witkowski is an astounding researcher and author.

Some of the critical words are justified, while others are not. There is no claim in the book, for example, that the Bell was something flying. And: yes, the association of the mine with the Bell is based on testimonies, which are not presently available. I cannot prove that, but: there are presently documents available (reproduced on page 302 and described) which do prove that the Germans carried out a project linking gravity with plasma and propulsion, which is a breakthrough... Generally the Bell story is in my opinion MUCH better documented than previously. As to the general notion that the Germans were far ahead of the allies in many fields, it's also strange that "Kid" is questioning that, for there are numerous allied documents saying for example that the difference was the order of 5 - 15 years, depending on the field. He referred to the example of tanks. Well, it couldn't be worse example. The E-50 tank, with stabilised 88 mm gun, night sights, turbine propulsion (1150 HP) and some other inventions, actually represented more the level of the 1960s and it wasn't a "paper tank", for the gun was in production, the engine was tested and its hull is actually in the US. The difference was generally huge - please note that it was only after the war that the allied designers appreciated such a simple thing as the oblique (?) wing, while the Germans were already developing during the war the second generation of jet planes. Their approach to the development of technology was different in many respects, and that's what I wanted to emphasize, because in my view it's still poorly understood. Only when one will compile various fields, an overall picture will emerge, which is simply interesting. It emerges that it was a different model of civilization, working differently. We may learn from that, or we should...

Thanks to Mr. Witkowski & RVP Press for the 2nd Edition.

The first edition of this book has been priced between $300- $700 dollars used. The detail is in depth but not enough to bore the reader. All the major points are approached in a well organized manner. Reading through the book one will understand why we were ten years behind Germany in various concepts ranging from water resistant materials to infrared laser systems. This is why the USA has these technologies & the importance to defeat Germany first was essential. Hopefully Mr. Witkowski will work on revising his other books for his English readership.
The "Wunderwaffe" book & his others are well worth having. I look forward to his future volumes.
