My son loves these books!!

My son loves these books!! There are about 10 books in the series, and my son was missing 3 of those books, so I bought him the 3 he didn't have to complete his set. The pricing here is really good too for a brand new book. It almost cost the same as going to one of our local used book stores. It's so much nice to pay the same price for a brand new book. My son, loves the story line in each book, and has even tried writing his own version of a diary book! My son is 11, but has been reading these books when he was 8, and even met Jeff Kinney at a book signing! These books are great, wholesome, excellent books, and really appeals to kids of all ages!

Another great book from an amazing author!

My son has read this book over and over again. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series has become increasingly popular in my area. Every time a new book is released by Jeff Kinney, the students at my son's school are on a race to get it. I was able to purchase this book from this seller much cheaper than if I had purchased at a retail store. I would definitely buy again.

Laugh Out Loud Funny!

"Pack your bags. We're going on a road trip."

Thus begins the 9th book in the Wimpy Kid series. I have a feeling I know what you're thinking. Another Wimpy Kid book? Who wants to read more about the selfish brat also know as Greg Heffley? I mean, let's face it, he isn't the best role model (or even close for that matter). I've cringed many times while reading these books with my son; the way Greg treats his supposed best friend Rowley or the way Rodrick treats Greg. Please, even my kids treat each other better than this (which is a good thing). Of course, my son and I have spoken about Greg's behavior and how he isn't nice to Rowley and only uses him to get what he wants. And I don't deny my son the chance to read something he really enjoys. Anything you read is a chance to learn something, even if the book just teaches you to recognize bad behavior.

So, I was hugely surprised to find myself laughing out loud while reading this book to my son. Rowley is absent from this book and I think that helped. The book focuses entirely on Greg and his family and their misadventures. Greg's mom decides that a road trip is an excellent way to bring the family together. It doesn't exactly turn out as she expected, but they still manage to have quite the adventure.

I don't want to give anything away, but there is a piglet, crazy seagulls, a water park adventure and many funny driving and motel scenes that many of us can relate to. How many of us have been on a family trip and Dad has to take a work call. Everyone in the car is supposed to be quiet.... Very funny scene!!

Recommended to:
Any fans of the Wimpy Kid series and even some people who aren't fans. If you like funny family stories where everything that can go wrong does, you will enjoy this book. Think (totally PG) book version of one of the Vacation movies.

About the Author
Benji Kurtz is a self-described serial entrepreneur who changed to a plant-based lifestyle in 2013 and hasn’t looked back. He is the founder and Executive Director of Remedy Food Project, a Georgia-based nonprofit (www.remedyfood.org). A really great and informative little gem of a book

Just when I thought what more can be said about the benefits of a plant based diet, I read The Plant Advantage only to find that there was more to learn. The authors provided conclusive reasons for humans to be plant based and how we thrive eating the way we are intended to.

A fantastic and concise story of the life changing benefits of a plant-based diet and the science behind it!

Benji Kurtz has done something amazing with this book. In a book you can easily read in one evening, he has explained what we should eat and why, with the science behind it, in an enjoyable, understandable and humorous way! I have been eating a plant based diet for 17 years and have read many books about the benefits and ethics behind such a diet, but never have I seen such a concise description that explains each facet of the benefits of a plant-based diet told in such a real way - through the lens of Mr. Kurtz' own incredible journey to a healthier and happier life though a plant-based diet! And because the book comes with lots of delicious recipes, it's basically a "how to" that provides the roadmap. I highly recommend this book if you are, like Mr. Kurtz was, trying to understand the best and easiest way to eat for your health and the health of the planet. Or even if, like me, you are already living a plan-based lifestyle and just want to read a concise and entertaining book about the miraculous changes that come from a plant-based diet!

It is simply wonderous for pastors to use in their sermons, it is excellent source for giving illustrations. DL Moody was one of greatest revival mover in America Religious history. It is more fitting that pastors use the treasury of a great evangelist. It shall aid you in your sermon greatly. I used it in my sermons and the audience enjoyed the illustrations greatly. First published in 1980, "Reaching for Rainbows" still speaks to the church today 26 years later. The poems, skits, and litanies in this book are easily accessible to anyone who might be in your church or town. Particular favorites, especially for Youth Sunday or drama ministry presentations, are "You--Sitting in the Pew Next to Me" and "Balloons Belong in Church." Weems is able to give voice to those wonderings and thoughts we have about the relevancy of faith and belief, but few have the courage to voice. Challenge yourself and your congregation. Who knows, God might move the person next to you to be more than just a body in the church!

Joy and love in the Church.

Ann Weems talks about the church in interesting and contemporory ways. My attitudes and feelings are expressed by her better than I ever could express them. I am a minister and English Teacher. Her poetry is very good, and her thoughts and feelings about the church are real and alive.

I couldn't be more in love with this book.

I just received this book a few days ago. I am a pastor and have absolutely loved some of the prayers inside of this book. My husband (who is also a pastor) is attempting to steal it for himself. It helps to think outside of the box and this book is genuine and helpful. It is a great tool for pastors or laity.
